Comprehensive Online Course
This course discusses first what menopause and perimenopause are, and also the effect of our cultural perspective on a woman ending her fertile years.
We’ll describe in detail all the hormones in your body and their functions, as well as how to test them and support imbalanced levels. Then we discuss the symptoms and health concerns that women commonly struggle with, such as hot flashes, acne, brain fog, insomnia, mood swings, fibroids, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, and so much more. We will explore the potential causes of each and how to prevent or treat them.
Next, we review the right kind of exercise for perimenopausal and postmenopausal women, what and how to eat to combat hormonal weight gain, how stress impacts hormones, and simple strategies you can use to counteract it.
We’ll also discuss herbs and supplements that can support you through this transition as well as hormone replacement therapy and how to use it correctly to optimize your health through perimenopause and beyond. We’ll review recommended health screenings as well as alternative options. And lastly, we’ll finish with the intangible changes in women’s souls as they travel through menopause

Sabrina Yoder, CNM, APRN, CFMP
Hi! I'm Sabrina. I'm an advanced nurse practitioner, certified nurse-midwife, and certified functional medicine practitioner. My specialty is functional women’s health from puberty through menopause and beyond. My experience as a midwife has revealed the incredible and intricate nature of women’s health and vitality amid changing hormones.
I am passionate about functional medicine, which focuses on finding and correcting the cause of illness rather than just treating symptoms. While partnering with women to help them find relief from conditions such as PMS, abnormal periods, pelvic pain, vulvar conditions, bladder problems, PCOS, infertility, menopausal symptoms, thyroid disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, anxiety, and depression, I discovered that women often lack vital information about their bodies and hormones.
Thus began my quest to create courses as a resource for women to learn more about themselves so they can better care for their amazing bodies. Beyond that, the last two decades of practicing functional medicine in women’s health care have taught me that the health of our bodies is connected to the health of our souls. When one is out of balance, so is the other. True health comes when our soul and body are balanced, healed, and working together as one.
